A plain-language note about what this site stores in your browser and how visits are measured.

Summary

This is a static poetry website. We do not sell personal data. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not set cookies, and we only store a small essential preference if you subscribe to the Weekly Love Note so unlocked poems stay available on your device.

Newsletter preference (essential)

When you join the Weekly Love Note, the site may store:

  • A cookie named dave-tebo-subscriber (marks that you subscribed, so poems stay unlocked)
  • localStorage keys such as dave-tebo-subscribed, dave-tebo-subscriber-email, and dave-tebo-discount-shown (subscription status, optional email reminder on this device, and whether a discount message was already shown)

These are functional preferences for the site experience. Your email for the newsletter is also sent to our email provider (MailerLite) so Dave can deliver the Weekly Love Note. That is separate from this website’s analytics.

Analytics (privacy-friendly, cookieless)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. According to Cloudflare, this product does not use cookies or localStorage to collect usage metrics, and it does not fingerprint visitors for analytics display.

It helps us see approximate page views, referrers, and how quickly pages load for visitors. It does not give us a personal profile of you.

You can choose Essential only in the privacy notice to opt out of loading the analytics script on future visits. Your choice is saved in localStorage as dave-tebo-privacy-consent.

The banner at the bottom of the site lets you:

  • Accept: allow privacy-friendly analytics (and keep essential newsletter storage when you subscribe)
  • Essential only: skip analytics; newsletter unlock still works if you subscribe

To change your choice later, clear site data for thepositivelovepoet.com in your browser settings, then revisit the site and pick again.

What we do not do

  • We do not use Google Analytics on this site
  • We do not run advertising trackers
  • We do not sell visitor lists
